Our History
Founded by Dr. Mark Forget in 2001, MAX Teaching started through his classroom experience in the areas of reading and writing instruction. MAX has evolved into a team of nationwide consultants serving K-12, undergraduate, and graduate level professional development. In addition, MAX Teaching also works with trade unions to develop curriculum and instruction for apprenticeship training.

- Literacy is the new civil right of this era.
- All children should view themselves as readers and writers.
- Children need to be engaged in environmental, recreational and vocational reading and writing activities.
- Motivation, Acquisition, and eXtension are the keys to effective lesson planning.
- All children can achieve at high levels if given literacy strategies for success.
